I Think the point is 40 used to be literally all over Drake albums, he'd be a part of basically every song

he hasn't done this for 3-4 albums

There really aren't many 40 sounding songs on FATD, it's clear he just put some finishing touches in parts

Right. Up until 2017, 40 used to be credited on almost every single song on every solo Drake project, with IYRTITL being the sole exception:

    2009-2016:

    • So Far Gone: 9/11 of the original songs
    • Thank Me Later: 8/14
    • Take Care: 15/20
    • Nothing Was the Same: 11/16
    • IYRTITL: 5/19

    61% produced by 40

    2017-2023:

    • More Life: 6/22
    • Scorpion: 10/25
    • DLDT: 2/14
    • CLB: 9/21
    • Honestly, Nevermind: 3/14
    • FATD: 7/29

    30% produced by 40

There’s a clear difference in how involved 40 has been on the production side of things in the past 7-8 years

I think at the end of the day, Drake stans and everybody else want two different things from his albums, and that’s okay.

I’m not going to speak for everyone, but my biggest problem with Drake’s album output personally is how bloated and all over the place they feel while listening. Personally, I’ll always prefer cohesive, tight albums that are smooth listens front to back. Drake albums tend to have so many sounds all at the same time, kind of scattered, which obviously is for the fans that enjoy all the different sounds he has to offer.

That’s why albums HN, IYRTITL, NWTS, Her Loss, etc tend to be the favorites of the non-stans because they’re tight, cohesive, and impactful. Drake stans just love having so much music to listen to, and again, that’s okay!

    Uh huh

It would have been a bit better if he added a feature to extend it

And then separated the adonis part to be a interlude/fun skit

But it's good. Drake is rapping good and the beat is good
