    Yeah and I say all that to say Views is still a good album. Drake is a victim of his own greatness. Any other rapper drops that album and it is their best work. Tomorrow is the 10 year anniversary so I’ll listen again maybe it’ll click for me. CLB greatness just hit me a few months ago

    CLB took me years to come around to. I listen to it weekly confused on I how I missed out on it being so good. It has so many great songs and is diverse af so there’s always songs I can vibe to no matter the mood

    NOKIA song and mv are underrated

    It was definitely supposed to be a bigger moment but the climate wasn’t going to allow it. I’m glad drake dropped $$$4u and waited out the beef talk. This is literally perfect timing for his solo stuff.

    Agreed. I think a lot of people shared the same sentiment in that thread during the initial listens. But the lawsuit talk, beef in general, etc. were at their hype. Think it really would’ve been received differently at any other time.

  • I think the whole 'is views a classic' debacle basically boils down to the fact that when it released the bar was so unbelievably high, the hype was so present, that it was expected to be hailed a classic on arrival

    In the end it was a great album that had some minor flaws

    And with time, people lived with it and listened to it a lot, and flaws now feel more small than ever making it be reclaimed as a classic 2010's album
