I don’t think it’s crazy that two different people have very different online experiences

those two albums also had accompanying singles so yeah it would make sense why it felt inescapable
just saying that boiling it down to people’s algorithms is half the battle
I feel like having huge singles kinda makes a rollout bigger than one without, by default?

You're right, but music will always be #1 when it comes to the hype for an upcoming album. Off that alone is why I feel Views and Scorpion were more anticipated

I listen to hundreds of artists, I have other interests outside of music, and my algorithm personally reflects that
And yeah I use ktt, I’m incredibly tapped in, but that’s a small niche dead Kanye forum, so why would I use that to measure hype?

May 4·1 replyTommyCamposWorks at a DSP, I think Spotify. He leaks tracklists before drops usually. If he’s tweeting ice emojis, Drake most likely sent the album or songs to DSP’s.

algos are def tailored but what about the people that consume media without a personal account for said medium?
if people are saying its massive hype due to their algo being tailored to drake/iceman, the people saying its not hype due to their algo not having it are two sides of the same coin is really my main point
