Wouldn't constantly listening to new music instead of albums you love be the act of treating it as just something to consume tho
If you love an album and listen to it month after month after month, you are living and growing with it not consuming lol
Hell yeah

Jim still depressed eating d***, it's a shame the misery consumed him
I see Jim Halpert back to acting like a moody angsty teenage girl online as a grown as man in real life
must be album time
Even outside of this conversation
Replay value is the real test of how good music is.
It’s not like film or other mediums. Music’s quality is truly determined by replay value, it’s proof whether the song works or not if u have the desire to return to it. If u return to it a lot it means the artist and producer did something right.
If u say something Is ur fav song or album but barely play it, something is off there
I would say capturing an emotion and translating it to the audience means the artist and producer did something right
By your logic, You’re writing off 10 minute experimental jazz pieces as failures because they’re not Sabrina Carpenter songs
It’s not Kendrick’s most popular album at all lmao
Do people forget Kendrick has the longest-charting rap album of all-time?
It is currently his most popular album fam idk what to tell you
There are probably dozens if not hundreds of songs that you love that you haven't heard in a few years
Not recently, hip hop has not been that good the past 10’years or so
Dozens maybe but not hundreds especially
Only a handful of good artists and producers, and not even all their stuff has been good
If something is good, when I go back to it. The beat will slap and have the same energy it did when I first listened
But sometimes I’ll hear and realize it’s aged poorly and remember that’s why I haven’t played it in forever lol
He shouldn’t have said s*** he should have just surprise dropped

Not at all, the opposite actually. Loving music (and any type of art in general) is recognizing that there is a world of creation out there at all times, 99% of it you'll never get the chance to experience, but wanting to explore as much of it as possible while you can
It is currently his most popular album fam idk what to tell you
Currently, yes, but it's not the most popular album of his entire career

I'm not just talking about recent music though, I'm talking about songs you love that you may have discovered 15-20 years ago

People got the game twisted champ
They listening metacritic style not like regular people playing s*** they enjoy
Hip hop is all about playing s*** u enjoy, u can usually tell when something hot by the first 30 seconds once the beat drops
For All The Dogs (29 songs) current daily streams: 2.3M
GNX (12 songs) current daily streams: 2.4M
Y’all can’t make the replay argument anymore when daily listening totals are literally publicly available to research
Fatd outselling GNX 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

He posted The Motion, Jodeci Freestyle, Over Here, and Versace remix at like 4AM after tweeting “Scary Hours” a few hours earlier
Ur a child

Aren't you the one advocating not to listen to more music and instead only listen to stuff you already enjoy?

Gnx still has songs on radio and has Luther what are we doing man
I'm not just talking about recent music though, I'm talking about songs you love that you may have discovered 15-20 years ago
Yea if something from 15-20 years ago Is still hot to me that means that s*** is classic
In other words it HAS replay value
If it holds up 15-20 years that song is special and it’s being spun
Whatchu sayin champ
