People who claim to say numbers don’t mean anything somehow always get roped into talking about numbers in here
And then when they lose that argument they say “all yall have are sales” and “there’s a sales thread”
I’ve seen 250K-300K repeatedly, I think even 400K is lowballing with the new rules
The “new rules” don’t really add a substantial amount to the total. I agree that the hype is there but with this music climate, I don’t see how it reaches CLB or Scorpion numbers
Taking us back to how Drake did that off of streams alone in 21’
this project has more hype in May 2026 (don’t talk about summer 2025) than CLB did
I was there for both
Streams + Movie + Hype
CLB was absolutely massive compared to Iceman
Every solo Drake album has big first week streaming numbers
Yes, but they have all slowly and consistently trended downward as well. FATD did 200M less first week streams than CLB did. I don't think Iceman will have that big of a dropoff, but I predict it will be less than FATD's for sure
With months of preorders Kanye could’ve absolutely done 400k
I’m not seeing it tbh. That concert was the most hype he had since donda and that was after the album released

Common sense ITT

That Travis and Kanye album could clear 400k easy if they release it this year

People are streaming music more than ever, I don’t think this album is gonna have any issues doing his usual numbers
This thread is now being taken over by VZ thread
whale c***ice men i am goonout

People are streaming older music more than ever. Streams of newly released music has been slowly declining since the start of 2025

They are streaming old music more than ever
New music, especially in rap, has been “underperforming” if anything

It was projected to be near 400 if his independent pre sales from first announcement of Bully counted. BB in partnership with EVEN + new rules basically cooled independent d2c sales with verifications and tons of hurdles

It’ll be higher

Travis bundles bout to go dummy

Newer music ain’t breaking streaming records like it used to excluding Taylor Swift. It’s not 2016-2021 anymore.
