It’s the internet man who cares who is known for what, it’s pixels on a screen, that you are taking wayyyy too seriously

This would hit crazy if you weren’t known for crying in drake threads all the time lol

Replay value would have to be thriller level

    11 tracks all bangers

I hope that song where he says I’ve been sleeping with a pistol in my bed is on here

I don’t think I ever heard someone do the “I sleep with my gun like it’s my girl” bit about being heartbroken.

lol i think this was like a 2020 leak. Rest assured there’s a 99.99% chance it’s not on this one.

There is hype, accepting it shouldn't be this difficult.

We show you sales projections, and you say you dont accept them.

You say that when you look at fan engagement and album post numbers on social media, it isnt real

We say that Drake's daily streams have increased incredibly, that all his albums are rising on the Billboard charts, and you say it doesnt mean anything.

Life isnt just about your immediate surroundings, hype is real.

We show you sales projections, and you say you dont accept them.

There is no official source making any projection based on any tangible evidence. You're referring to a betting website setting a line based on what Drake albums usually do.

You say that when you look at fan engagement and album post numbers on social media, it isnt real

Social media engagement has no correlation to the commercial performance of music.

We say that Drake's daily streams have increased incredibly, that all his albums are rising on the Billboard charts, and you say it doesnt mean anything.

This is due to the industry-wise boost of older music on streaming and has no bearings on the performance of newly released music

    I didn’t say there wasn’t any hype

    It’s just not 600k hype

It all depends on how many hits there are. Is it a generic Drake album with a couple songs that'll make his core fans happy or it is going to be more impactful like most of his work pre-CLB?

I think its the second option because he took a lot of time for this album and he knows how much is riding on this. There was no pressure with FATD but this time its different

Iceman will sell more than Gnx by at least a 100k but will probably have the double amount of songs.

This way we will have an forever ongoing argument between Kenfolks and Papi angels since no one can be truly declared the winner

I think with all factors included, It'll be about even, Assuming Iceman does around 450k (give or take some)

GNX was a surprise release that only has 12 tracks and no fw physicals. It did crazy physical number preorders that would’ve put in the 450k - 500k range if they counted

Iceman is most likely gonna have double the tracks and no physicals. Drake fans don’t really buy physicals anyway

    Seems pretty even imo

If it does 500-600K+, then I'll concede that I was wrong in my prediction and I'll celebrate a victory for hip-hop

If it does 350K-400K, what excuses are you gonna make as to why that happens?

How is this his biggest album since Scorpion?

Most important. CLB till now (maybe not $$& but that was a rnb collab) were all resting on laurels.

scorpion had to not only respond to Push, his most pressing beef, but also prove he was still the wonderchild

I feel that same energy here but obviously with Dot + proving his commercial dominance
