Again, this really isn’t the reality at all. Drake’s back catalog has always been a heavy streaming juggernaut…that was true before, during, and after the beef. It’s not a feeling that they miss if it never went away.
People are not excited for ICEMAN because they’re trying to escape Kendrick
theyre excited for it because they want to hear a new Drake album. Drake dropping a new album is also not going to magically make everyone else in hip-hop more popular. I don’t get that sentiment at all.

euphoria and 6:16 in LA are widely regarded as the best rapping of the beef. sometimes family matters takes the #2 spot but he clearly demonstrated he was a superior rapper before resorting to catchy lines/insults on NLU
why does making one club banger mean you have to keep making those types of songs? why can't you make a commercial song and then just continue to go about your business?
