I’m genuinely flabbergasted at the misreading of the text right now ITT

willful ignorance to make kendrick look hollow and paint drake in a better light as a victim that the game needs

    Yes.

That’s literally what’s it always meant.

The three biggest, best selling guys of that generation.

That’s how it’s always been used. You think people were trying to replace Cole with Travis because of Travis’s ability on the mic?

And the reason Travis was never colloquially designated as being in that Big 3, despite his commercial success, is because he’s not good enough of a rapper

people put that on kendrick, at no point did he say or indicate he wanted the commercial mantle for hip hop

the only think kendrick wanted was to be recognized as the best rapper of his generation and that he was a more superior rapper than drake.

everything dot wanted he has followed thru on. if Nas put out watch the party die no one would expect him to become the next commercial rapstar

The issue is he failed to prove that. His best diss tracks and the most “pure” hip hop ones failed to move the mark. so he had to win with an inflammatory dance track.

I doubt nas would give up on real battling and move to a Club banger then pretend to not be commercial

people should be talking about iceman but this man drake just having the worst rollout of all time right in front of our eyes

He should’ve let the ice melt and then drop it once it’s a puddle, the release date killed the spectacle idk why he went through the trouble

Again, this really isn’t the reality at all. Drake’s back catalog has always been a heavy streaming juggernaut…that was true before, during, and after the beef. It’s not a feeling that they miss if it never went away.

People are not excited for ICEMAN because they’re trying to escape Kendrick theyre excited for it because they want to hear a new Drake album.

Drake dropping a new album is also not going to magically make everyone else in hip-hop more popular. I don’t get that sentiment at all.

I fundamentally disagree with you on every level and I think continuing this conversation is useless since we can’t find a single shared agreement

I just told you… going through hundreds of post history individually and Quoting it into this current convo will take 30 min.

When the album drops I’ll do it but as of now i cannot be asked. hit me outside if you actually are curious and don’t just want an “own”

I don’t want an “own”. I just want you to give me the list you said you would here on this site instead
You already made the posts on the site and clearly if it’s legit info you would have no problem reiterating it

what is it then? i guess his greater purpose was to give up his talent and depth to act as a career hitman that sold out

just a shame we lost the dude who made 3 classics in a row

People said it was over if he had a daughter. We never got to see the actual reaction to that not being true because NLU dropped less than 48 hours later

    he didn't think it through

original plan was to get streamers to do some clipfarming then drop the release date but normal people started climbing and s*** which made it an injury risk

euphoria and 6:16 in LA are widely regarded as the best rapping of the beef. sometimes family matters takes the #2 spot but he clearly demonstrated he was a superior rapper before resorting to catchy lines/insults on NLU

why does making one club banger mean you have to keep making those types of songs? why can't you make a commercial song and then just continue to go about your business?
