That Fakemink feature better be fake. I’m turning into the old man yelling at the clouds here but I don’t want no new underground features on this. Keep it simple. Travis Scott, Future, The Game, PinkPantheress, OVO Sound feature(s) and that’s all.

Literally yawn

We need Travis Scott, thank you.
I think he's probably going to have some underground features on Iceman but fwiw Purple4matter deleted their tweet about the fakemink feature

Finished Scorpion.
A few days ago I said More Life was the Drake project that has grown on me the most as time has progressed. Yesterday I realized that Scorpion is the Drake project that has soured on me the most as time has progressed.
This album sucks.
My number one issue is how thin and cheap a lot of the songs sound production-wise on here. Some of the beats genuinely sound like Drake-type beats that anyone can find on YouTube, and the engineering sounds amateurish for some reason. For a Drake studio album, I'm expecting to hear and feel a sense of polish and budget went into the making of the album. I don't feel that at all on here.
Next, the songs. Survival is easily his worst intro, it's a flat tire of a song that goes nowhere and starts the album off at a snail's pace (Diplomatic Immunity should've been saved for the album and used as the intro instead imo). Elevate and Emotionless are terrible. God's Plan, I used to really enjoy, but the older I get the less I like it. His delivery sounds completely asleep at the wheel on the song and it genuinely feels like the record was made for high school dances. I'm Upset is extremely dated already. Talk Up is the weakest Drake/Jay collab. Peak is f***ing trash. Finesse is another song I really liked back when I was in high school and going through girl problems, but now as an adult it just sounds annoying to hear. Ratchet Happy Birthday I don't even have to comment on. March 14 is a decent enough outro but it sounds like it's wrapping up a different album.
Side B is a little better overall than Side A, but my problem with Side B is the sequencing is all over the place, especially as the album wraps up. Two horned out of your mind R&B songs leading directly into the album closer that's dedicated to your newborn son? What?
There are a handful of songs I still really like on here such as Nonstop, 8 Out Of 10, Mob Ties, Jaded, and Nice For What, but overall this is a big miss for me, and it feels so apparent that the Pusha beef derailed and contorted his original vision for the album, especially on Side A. 4/10

Not liking survival kinda insane lowkey invalidates everything else u said idk
Who said mink on the album?
Not even confirmed until we see a tracklist. I don’t even mind Fakemink, he fire

He’s done that before because people will assume he’s confirming features or collabs, when he’s not. He brought Mink out at Wireless. Not crazy to assume they worked together but doesn’t mean it’s on the album.
Survival so f***ing crazy it’s his interlude

There is no world where either that song or Falling Back are not his weakest intros

I think his rapping is pretty good on there but the beat is just doing nothing for me

Deep pockets is not better than survival Virginia Beach lowkey isn’t either
I don’t go back to this album as much as his others. A lot of music to consume at 1 time and I hate not being able to play an album all the way through. That’s the one thing I hate about his albums post beef. He gets into his head and changes it. I’d love to hear the OG Views and Scorpion before the beef. That’s the 1 thing that mildly concerns me about Iceman it is post beef.

Also falling back def one of the best drake intros ever

Yeah I hear the influence, but it works here since it's more of an actual interlude to start the album, Survival is trying to function as an actual song
