Aight that's pretty cool. But what I'm confused by...wouldn't it make more sense to have that big main event Iceman album be his first independent release free from UMG?

Fam that's exactly what I mean about stepping on himself and his own projects lol it's like he was afraid Iceman wasn't going to be able to stand up on its own, so he put out two other projects along with it to get the charts.
If he's been on this "Fuck UMG"...why would he give them two other projects for them to milk? That don't strike you as a bit backwards?

he was never gonna half ass any of these even if it's just to get out of the deal. he was always gonna deliver something special even if it's reluctantly

He's closer to Chris Brown in terms of rollout and fanbase. He's just doing s*** for the fans and what would fans want? More music.
