May 15shaleiroseI think GNX is great, but I'm also someone who thought that after Mr. Morale, Kendrick needed to take himself a little less serious and heavy-handed on his next project. It was a nice change of pace for me
That’s fair, for me personally I didn’t like Morale as a project but I think the “accessible” songs on it like Savior / Count Me Out / N95 were way stronger than GNX songs overall
I think tbh I also don’t like how his voice sounds now which is an issue with some of Drake’s newer stuff (thankfully Iceman avoided this, super crisp). Like squabble up and wacced out sound bad to me in large part because of his vocals
(My most out there GNX take tho is that Peekaboo is excellent, was surprised people hate it lol)
