ElementalI listened to all 3 already I just keep finding myself going to random tracks on each album replaying whatever is stuck in my head lol
I see myself doing that sometimes but I just go back and start playing next album from jump
Iceman so far has been growing with each play through the strongest, although I find myself going back to MoH as a huge HNVM fan

Off the very early reactions it seems like people are returning to HABIBTI the least, it also doesn’t have any clear commercial records like the other two do
Like you said I think there’s gonna be a lotta confusion in the general audience, I think some may listen to one of the albums not even realizing there’s two more

JPEGMAFIACLB and FATD his bottom two albums to me, CLB just didn't have any songs that stick out to me. Only song I even remember is the Future song and that felt gimicky like a joke
Iceman feels more mature and feels intentional. It's almost like if you take his verse on Meltdown and made it an album
Wild to me because bc FATD is bottom for me but CLB is up there. Curse of Drake making so much enjoyable music I guess

She’s actually pretty turned off by there being 3 albums, we tried to listen to iceman but she said he’s crying too much about the battle, we have a road trip end of May so we will get a more thorough listen then

Better than Views too, Views has some classic R&B songs and Pop songs but Iceman is mostly rap...that's the album we needed from him since NWTS/IYRTITL

We asked him not to chase hits, he did that on here
We asked for a rap album, he gave us that with incredible flows and introspection might I add
We asked for better production, this his most creative production in years
We asked for less bloat, 18 tracks is a reasonable number of songs for a Drake project especially since some tracks are short, nowhere near as long as the 23 track behemoths he was dropping before
We asked for less random feats, he did that
We asked him to stop trying to please everyone with the same album, he gave us 3 different albums to cover the three different styles he’s been working on recently
Like at some point we gotta stop asking and start appreciating or just be real with ourselves and say you know what Drake just isn’t for me lol
I’ve never understood the obsession with hating the dude.
Like it ain’t sports where you can hate LeBron, Cristiano, Messi, Shohei, whatever - you have to play them and watch them dominate.
It’s not like Drake out here winning awards and stealing them from your favorites. It’s music, simply choose to not listen to it. It’s what I do with most rappers nowadays, I’m not camping around Ken Carson forums or Twitter threads saying how much I hate his s***.
