To summarise cos I can’t do this s*** all day. Drake didn’t evolve as a person and his musics suffered.

The reason why Future can do this is cos I feel his ratchetness comes from a genuine place, good and bad

"Drake didn’t evolve as a person and his musics suffered."

Okay, you want him to evolve, address things in a less mature way. I can understand that. Cool

"The reason why Future can do this is cos I feel his ratchetness comes from a genuine place, good and bad"

It's the same ratchetness that he was all about since Same Damn Time back then. He hasn't evolved.

    Maid of honour for example.

Would I rather listen to real culturally influenced Jamaican dancehall

Or a 40 year old Canadian mans attempt at dancehall

    He’s very out of touch

    your first correct post

  • La Flame

But are yall really listening though?

This 30 seconds into the album:

"I know for sure that my parents, they look at me and see an overcomer
I'm looking back at them and these days, I see an older couple
I see my only uncle lookin' like that s*** that I ain't ownin' up to
And if he said the way he really felt, I'd probably see his side because I'm old enough to"

This is some real s*** about growing older and starting to look at your older family members. You suddenly start to notice a lot more and understand s*** from when you was younger, how some of them are the way they are.

There a ton of these bars here and there, but if you aint really listening and s*** goin over your head... what can he do?

Then say aint he talking about personal s*** or mature content.

    Spit.

    That's not what I mean

I understand those bars and how they're personal and introspective about what he's been through

The original poster, I think, probably represents the same sentiment that a group of his fans want to hear and it's music for a guy who's 35+ living day to day but that's just not his personal life situation
Looking at life from the lens of someone approaching 40 and getting older and wiser - certain topics and stuff. He does that, in different lanes, but not to the respect some listeners want to here and I understand why not, because that's not how he lives and it's evident through the visuals

Future evolved A LOT musically he even showed depth he never used to.

He went from turn up rapper to mature artist.

Drake did the opposite. I’ve never seen an artist degenerate like this

The point is he still does a ton of it.

And it is also about making songs with replay value and for entertainment to some degree. Timeless vibes and content.

People just move the goal posts for him. Nor giving him any credit for things.

Im disappointed in you tbh here.
