Br00sesDrake and Kendrick having beef was fine and them insulting each other and saying bad things was part of it
All normal stuff and I think it has always happened in rap beefs for the most part
The issue is the industry connection to it and pushing it how they did. It feels nasty that it happened right around drake negotiations too.
I get people being excited about it because it had been building up for like a decade, but I think maybe people were a bit overly willing to turn a blind eye to that nasty element of it
the issue with drake he is just so viral and profitable that regardless how it turns out people want to make an event out of it because so many niggas can make money of it
they celebrated his loss like a funeral and marketed it like crazy, this never was just about the win but how crazy they went with promoting it.
u can maybe say thats the cost drake has to pay because he is by far the biggest rapper of his generation, but this was one of the clearest examples of industry greed for $$$ and blood justifying a lot
grammy/hollywood have shielded actual pdfiles for years, the 2nd they could put the label on someone who isnt part of that industry they went extra to celebrate it to make them look like they actually care about integrity
