also not entertaining anyone that says there’s no good songs outta 43 lmao like be forreal man
Kendrick had a song go #1 for 13 straight weeks after Not Like Us
Sza stimulus
I think it’s just a Drake thing he’s been doing it since his first mixtape but it does feel unnecessary at times. FATD worst offender of unnecessary beat switches
Yeah that makes sense
Their expectation is that while drake has a ton of fans and is seeing a lot of success making the music he obviously wants to make
That he will eventually listen to all of their criticism anyway and make what they want him to make instead
I've been a disappointed fan in that position for other artists but it's pretty unreasonable and never usually works out how they want it to
Even if the artist does switch back to the sound they want them to make it feels halfhearted

still beef era, it was his direct follow up after NLU (carried by SZA too)
like I said we'll see what happens when he drops years later
this was a flex back then
ppl at work tellin me this trash and it sounds like everything else he ever put out, someone said habiti is ely boring and never close to any close rnb s*** and sick of his voice, I said you knew how Drake was the past 10+ years why do you keep checking if you don’t like that type of rnb from Drake I will never understand it
My homeboy skimmed the album in 20 minutes on release night and said it’s trash and he only liked Plot Twist
I was like “you listened to 18 rap songs in 20 minutes?”
He’s a Kenny fan so I’m not surprised but I was like why are you even listening to the album bro?

I really stopped liking SZA after a certain point and it was years before this beef s***
no longer entertaining anyone that says every song sounds the same and talks about nothing
if you didnt listen to Make Them Cry and hear what was being said, thats a you problem
You saw where Jaylen Brown basically said Iceman was a collection of songs with no theme or message? Bro was not listening. This is probably Drake’s most focused project. Every song shares a central theme
if you don’t like the music that’s fine but to say this is an assortment of music thrown together is stupid.
Their expectation is that while drake has a ton of fans and is seeing a lot of success making the music he obviously wants to make

But it is fake.
They act like they saying some s*** or giving constructive criticism, but it is genuinely just hate.
He does what they "want" and they will just find other s*** to hate on.
They just hate Drake, for whatever reason, and gone so far they cant switch up. It is now a part of their personality.
It is sad and tragic af.
Like he said... should have just done what he supposed to have done, gone with the day ones. Keep drop great music for the real fans.
F*** anyone who think differently. That they care so much will be the death of them
I need Shabang to go number 1. Gonna see if I can find a bot farm somewhere in Europe to play this s*** on a loop for me

It’s really hard for an artist to have the same conviction, hunger, and urgency years after they make the music that makes us fall in love with them. Drake really didn’t have anything to prove after Views released and he can release quality music in his sleep but the raps won’t have the same bite he did on Lord Knows or IYRTITL. Jay wasn’t the same after he became president of Def Jam and sold Rocawear for a quarter billion it’s just hard to be the same artist we fell in love with after getting the validation they looked for
