Nobody will miss Cole and Midrick
Drake and Don Toliver to run this s***
need a drake don song asap
drake started that tho if we being fr lmao
swae a student of that nonchalant rnb flow aubs did lol
Drake didn’t really start riding one melodic lane for an entire song until 2018/2019, Swae been doing that s*** since they started
This is just you anyway
I love you John
one of the key drake fans itt thought Summer Games was on Views
I had to correct him with my superior Drake knowledge
and they still think I'm a hater

There has always been certain elements I respect about you
But I wish you would let them show more often
"And I faced the way they paint me, but it hurts just like the Philly Eagles"
obvious double with Hurtts, but the triple is cooked in with perfection

The thing is I’m not denying that SZA is a big part of why luther is a hit. She does the hook, obviously she’s a big factor.
But to give Kendrick zero credit for that when y’all do that to none of Drake’s hits this decade is just biased
I never gave Kendrick zero credit. I just think comparing sza’s contribution to those two songs is disingenuous
What Drake was doing on Janice STFU is what I imagine Carti fans think he doing on his s*** lol. No disrespect but Carti ain’t for me but a lot of the vocal choices and inflections on there really stand out so much. It honestly may be one of his most interesting songs ever no cap
Carti regressed as a rapper and him changing his voice is kinda just cosplaying different characters. It’s fire to me but it’s kind of to fill a gap and he deadass just sounds like Future AI at times. Drake has the talent where the voice changes add a different layer and dimension and feel essential and intentional
Drake <3

Have you listened to So Far Gone
Where my bestie at
Hell nah
Carti
Trav
Don
All 3 have a great ear for production but Drake is miles better than them in terms of rapping/lyrical ability, so in the end it's a top 1
They don’t understand the things I want for Christmas
So I told Capo we can’t burn those bridges
tell broski to sell more lolipops to reach these sales
Abe clears 2026 Ronaldo Drake (both s***pests too)
I’m joking before you melodramatic fanbase come for me
I hope this nigga retire and never drop a project again for years
Make these lames sit with the catalog and watch the game crumble with no one to carry it
the game was already crumbling ala streams and short attention spans siphoning the average listener from viewing music as more than just background noise.
While one can argue that Iceman is his best work in this decade, you can argue that it is definitely not his best work period.
Someone mentioned earlier that most his albums separate the raps with the R&B cuts and the versatility kept people engaged, even as slow as Habibti is, I felt more of a drag finishing Iceman the most with the fact that content-wise, 18 tracks of "I hate you nigga let's die" reminds me of Blood In My Eye by Ja Rule where it's iike..."cool you got back at all those mean haters, where the music come in" type of records y'know?
I think it's one of his best on the album but I do hear criticisms that the 2nd verse of Janice STFU does take some people out (I personally think it's hard but I can understand the subject matter making songs like Janice STFU come off dated in the couple of years when the world moves on from "beef brain")
Iceman ultimately showed Drake still has it in him to drop a passioned project, but do I think it'll ultimately "change the genre" or save whatever's left of hip hop? I dont' know tbh.
