there is no way in hell this album gets hate in the early 10s back when the gentrification wasnt as bad

best instrumentals in 10 years out of ANY ARTIST, bars on EVERY SINGLE record, melodies for years on end, new flows hell hes even doing NEW VOICES on this, superb tracklisting and sequencing, prolly his first true CONCEPT album, cohesiveness throughout the whole thing, emotional vulnerability and the OG 40xDrake Toronto sound made a big comeback here

yet theres thousands of people claiming he dropped the same songs hes been doing for the past few years

saying hes lacking flow variations cause hes barring out on three songs

saying it lacks depth and hes just talking about the beef when the album concept is literally what he went through these last 2 years

there is no was we listened to the same album

Every time I get recommended some dumb ass post on Reddit talking about the album I get a headache going through the comments

Then I click on their username and see their history. Bunch of bullshit and I can picture exactly how they look. I can tell they have no clue about rap. The history, the culture, nothing.

Even worse is sometimes I see threads on r/blackpeopletwitter and they ALSO be posting the stupidest s*** I’ve ever seen. It’s like when it comes to Drake people’s hate fries their brain cells and they just go full ed

I truly don’t think it’s a race thing as much as it is an attention span thing. Think about how people consume content via TikTok’s and reels. People just want 30 seconds of content and move on to the next thing.

This is why dropping three albums was genius. After the first month of paying rent via hate, they’ll be right back to listening lol.

in b4 "you cant talk abt it either" idk mane i never hated on any release like they do w drake, im mostly sharing positive thoughts bar kendrick post beef but ion even get into sped mode like they do - gnx still a good album to me 7/10

so yea i do believe i can speak on that, they lack a general level of appreciation for the genre… it’s a trend to them
