Not like us is “ you aren’t representative of the culture or true black music or character” . So can we be shocked that for some they say Kendrick isn’t representative of their experience because there is no wholly universal black experience . Because it changes region to region . We know he is from Compton .

NLU was about being a man and lacking in character. Kendrick LITERALLY said this word for word on stage in front of thousands when directly asked about the songs meaning
