Fantastic is just absurd and you can take that bullshit to the dusty Kendrick section. Stop with the bullshit please. It’s a 5 at best.

Highly disagree but I guess we in a Drake thread so this response is to be expected.

No . Doesn’t change the point of what I am getting at . There are many who enjoyed , danced to not like is not because they view it as a song about being the better man of character . Your oversimplification is simply false . It’s a beef song where he calls him a reprehensible pedo , that uses parts of black American culture when Drake works with top black artist from all around the world . Implies he cosplays as tougher than he is or gang affiliated which overall I agree with but I don’t know what happens in Canada same way his house got shot

At the end of the day, a man that is a sexual predator/pedo is less of a “man” than a man that just struggles with lust addiction don’t know how else you wanna spin it but that’s the bare bones of it.

Like how do people not see this rating and not feel like it’s absolutely ridiculous like it’s almost comical but at the same time like it’s not it’s sick it’s like an opp using his platform blatantly as an attack

    They do trust me

  • If Kendrick himself was a real man he would be man enough to just say “I made NLU to piss and s*** on a man that I hate. I just wanted to tear him down badly.”

That’s what a man would do because a man would be honest

Yea let’s get back to hip hop. Who did more for the genre and more for other artists than Drake?

He was at the top of rap for 15 years giving out favor on top of favor, giving looks to nobodies, showing love to people who hate him behind closed doors, putting people on, getting what in return? Not much. He had the least to gain.

You got Kendrick giving out $10,000 for gnx features and Drake giving Molly Santana 500k for that light pack of ass she dropped. And we sitting here talking about rap culture and whether Drake is a really part of it

This being the central point . Can’t really say “ Drake isn’t part of the culture he is lightskin” or imply he works with fully black people solely for street credit . When they are artist that he has been friends with . Helped . Elevated . It’s a disingenuous thing to say fine to say in a diss but coming off this release after 2 years

Songs on the top of the charts. Memed by major organizations. Played by djs . People making memories to them dance videos everything

I guess I’m confused on how you determine who is the culture and who is hip hop ? What is this gatekeeping

Cole Bennett white as can be but he is the culture and isn’t a culture vulture

I haven’t listened to MMTBS all the way through in a couple years but I felt like Kendrick did that better on TPAB. Granted he was more so touching on race than his own personal experiences but still. Plus I think that’s not what people wanted from Kendrick after so long. For better or worse you know what the public thinks they are gonna get on album versus what the artist gives sets the tone.
