Rick Ross has always been overrated as f*** lol. I don’t even mean this in a fan drake way either, I’d love if metro boomin and him made s*** again etc

Get conductor out of here and lock Drake in with Metro

Ross is good at rapping but has a really weak discography proportionate to his level of fame, idk why people pretend otherwise.

For all the legend talk no one seriously argues his albums are top tier or even put them in their all time list (I’m sure there are exceptions to this but it’s pretty telling that this is the case)

Plenty of solid features but idk I’ve never thought of him as the feature goat

Dude that songs already like 5 minutes

I dont know. Im just not a fan of the monotone Drake songs with lyrics but lazy delievery / no hook.

My peak Rick Ross / Drake collabs are stuff like Im On One, Aston Martin Music, Us Remix etc and if its not like that why bother

I would say port of Miami is a personal classic but Teflon is undeniable

Well the song would have been structured differently with a feature probably

I'm just saying drake still makes some music I enjoy where the sound would mesh well with ross

Tbf I dont think Ross is that famous. Alot of it is internet hype which doesnt translate to real life

Hes just a 2000s rapper that lasted a bit past his expiry date (partially due to Drake collabs)

Im taking TI and Jeezy over Ross

  • For whatever reason I’ve just never loved Ross consistently on features lol. Even on DIAND for example I never thought he was the standout of it, I remember joining KTT1 and being surprised this was the consensus. He has classics on feats to be sure

What I’ve never gotten tho is his reputation for good beats, 2010s Justice League stuff had good output but plenty of Ross beats were weak

2 Chainz > Ross as a 2010s features staple to me

TI and Jeezy over Ross isn’t a hot take at all but you’re downplaying him a lot. He was one of the most consistent rappers 09-14

I don’t see how you pan iceman. Dude is cold

  • Plot Twist might’ve entered my top 5-10 all time Drake

I dont think he sounds bitter but he does show vulnerability.

For example Make Them Cry I feel hes flip flopping between vulnerable and confident. I like it though. It really gives a live look at his mind

You can be confident and bitter

It just means he's obviously mad about what happened still. I don't think it's even unreasonable for him to be bitter and it doesn't detract from the music for me

I would actually argue the opposite he has a really good flow and delivery great production and great projects but he’s overrated as a lyricist and got cooked anytime he got on a record with someone who is actually nice

  • Can I forgive?
    I can’t

I guess lemon pepper freestyle was horrendous too huh

Lemon Pepper and Gold Roses were rehashed ideas that were done into the dirt
