May 25·1 replyGreenPointeGrahamI just don’t see a world in which Drake is settled down by then for that type of album lol. He fully lives and embraces the true classic big rapper lifestyle for the better or worse lol.
It will be interesting to see how the big 3 evolve over the next decade. The world expects certain hits out of Drake, meanwhile Kendrick and Cole have a direct path into 4:44 music.
Remember Drake dropped FATD scary hours that people said they wanted and not many listened even though the tracks were amazing. What people say they want from Drake is diff than what they actually listen to.
I don’t think he needs to be “settled down” he just needs to be self reflective and he’s already shown glimpses of that on Make Them Cry
I could totally see him doin a whole album in that style where he talks about his life in depth around 45 years old

If they can’t respect blackness as it is without tokenizing intellectualism and artsy black artists (which are both valid expressions of the black experience but shouldn’t be the only perspectives seen as valid) then they need to go period
