Bruh has regenerated from much worse before, even if you account for his slowed healing factor due to aging. Just lazy writing on that end. Cancer is always written as a super disease.

I remember in The Vampire Diaries, one of the characters was dying from cancer, so they decided to bite them and turn them into a vampire. They just died quicker explanation “Vamprirism doesn’t cure cancer”

At their core, eastern storytelling has a different way of invoking emotions
