there's virtually no way ukraine can win in terms of a longer term/extended conflict. the question is more what capitulations are made or if they get to a point of ceasefire. it took the US like 2-2.5 weeks to capture Baghdad in the invasion of Iraq...yeah Russian military logistics suck and war heroism looks good in the media but anyone who thinks Ukraine can win a long-term conflict against a country exponentially bigger than them with a full military arsenal is delusional. A lot of this media sensationalism around war and heroism is really for two reasons, one being the media knows it's a hot topic and wants to farm clicks and viewership as much as possible through capitalizing on sensational headlines, and second that more politically associated outlets want to make the war seem in ukraine's favor so if/when russia inevitably "wins" (in whatever form that may be), it'll be easier to paint them in the light of "they only won because they escalated to inhumane extents", making further national demonization easier. very similar pattern emerged during the wars/invasions in the middle east
