how easy would it be to assassinate putin? Assassins creed make that s*** look easy tbh
Agent 47 gets that s*** done 5 minutes in and out
there isn't a happy ending in this though, and it'll only get worse
so i wouldn't rule a no fly zone out / nato getting involved
Nah, NATO, EU and US won't risk an open war and nuclear conflict over Ukraine.
This doesn't have a happy ending, but not in the sense everyone immediately thinks - apocalypse or whatever. It's going to be a slaughterhouse for Ukraine just like it was for Bosnia in the 90s, and they're the ones that are truly f***ed.
War is business, and business will be boomin' for the US.
China will profit hugely, as well, and they will be the biggest winners in the end, IMO. It's only a matter of time before they become the leading global hegemon if it continues like this.
And that's when we (western civ or whatever) will be truly f***ed, but until that happens
I didn't even think this invasion would actually happen a week and a half ago so I'm really not confident in s*** anymore

As part of my job I helped arrange such a bunker arrangement for a millionaire
Needless to say after that day communism looked more appealing to me...
sad

Of course it's bad
Diplomatic cable from US ambassador in Moscow detailing how pushing for Ukrainian NATO membership would lead to the exact situation we're in now:
"Not only does Russia perceive encirclement by NATO, and efforts to undermine Russia's influence in the region, but it also fears unpredictable and uncontrolled consequences which would seriously affect Russian security interests. Experts tell us that Russia is particularly worried that the strong divisions in Ukraine over NATO membership, with much of the ethnic-Russian community against membership, could lead to a major split, involving violence or at worst, civil war. In that eventuality, Russia would have to decide whether to intervene; a decision Russia does not want to have to face. ... Dmitri Trenin, Deputy Director of the Carnegie Moscow Center, expressed concern that Ukraine was, in the long-term, the most potentially destabilizing factor in U.S.-Russian relations, given the level of emotion and neuralgia triggered by its quest for NATO membership. ... Because membership remained divisive in Ukrainian domestic politics, it created an opening for Russian intervention. Trenin expressed concern that elements within the Russian establishment would be encouraged to meddle, stimulating U.S. overt encouragement of opposing political forces, and leaving the U.S. and Russia in a classic confrontational posture. ... Trenin cautioned strongly against letting an internal Ukrainian fight for power, where MAP was merely a lever in domestic politics, further complicate U.S.-Russian relations now."
Now that we're actually in that situation, this a***ysis is called "Russian propaganda"

Lol the USSR was a lot less racist than they are now
I actually had family members who studied there
Nationalism only increased since the dissolution of the Soviet Union
Let’s face it Russia miscalculated and they’re now in way too deep to be able to retreat which is why they’re bringing nukes to the table.
The West doesn’t lose much if Russia “wins” this conflict (it wouldn’t really be that much of a victory) and if they swallow their pride and meet their demands or at least negotiates a solution that works for both side. Russia still loses because they f***ed up their reputation and economy for a long time and even helped inspire others to join NATO.
Instead we have redacts in the West calling for no fly zones, fast tracking Ukraine’s EU membership, making it legal for their citizens to go fight in Ukraine, etc.
