What i dont get is why do we have to get involved, let russia and ukraine handle this s***. We got enough problems anyway.

One concept behind it
Also Russia is a "boogeyman" just like China because they are a rising economic power that is against Western interests. Big whoop. That's why the US is getting involved. They couldn't give less of a s*** about the population in the countries

Russia is the opposite of a rising economic power it's primary resource dependent, infested with corruption, in a demographic decline etc and has a gdp the size of Spain
Sure it's got potential but no it's nothing like China at all

Pretty sure he's talking abt China
well, this may be it
Well if this happens that's definitely an escalation
But who knows what's rly happening
Do we even know if Russian troops have entered the donbass lol
Pretty sure he's talking abt China
'Boogeyman just like China because they are rising economic power'
I read that as them being just like chins for that reason but fair enough if that was distinct and I read it wrong
sent him to voicemail

i read it the same way u did it makes it seem like russia is being referred to as a rising economic power

It's nothing like China but it's nothing to scoff at either. They have the most natural resources in the entire world. They have incredible geopolitical leverage.
They can support Russia but you can't just declare a region of a foreign country as independent and put your army in it
And I know Vlad doesn't know what freedom and democracy is since he's been a dictator oppressing his people for 20 years, usually how we do it civilized governments is that the parlament has to vote on it and that parliament has been choosen by the people
Russia wants to say what Ukraine can and cannot do because Putin knows that their people are not dumb just like the people of other Eastern European countries know they would be far better off allied with the rest of Europe than Russia, even the Russian people know it, that's why most of their rich people live in the west
I mean those regions seem to want to secede from Ukraine
On one hand you're talking about Putin's disregard for democracy, on the other you're happy to ignore what seems to be consensus in that particular region.
This is what irks me so much about a lot of Liberal leaning folk, the idea of democracy is only ever seems valid if it serves western hegemony.
Putin is not a good guy at all, but paint him as some sort of pantomime villain isn't really helpful to anyone, and that goes to just about misaligned head of state.
might be unrelated but I wonder if like Journalist that speclize in random s*** like US-Russia-Ukraine diplomacy ever wait for situations like this for there time to shine
putin height: 5'7. i get why hes mad
Yet he gets more paper, hoes and power than all of us so who really won

Using GDP nominal and not GDP PPP is so retärded
Russias economy is bigger than UK, France, Indonesia, Brazil
The currency rate to USD barely matters for such a self-reliant country as Russia
Yet he gets more paper, hoes and power than all of us so who really won
speak for urself
The irony is in the video

Do you know how many regions in the world there are with territorial disputes like this, even inside of Russia, but they aren't getting their own country just because they want to or feel like it, should we let everyone else then do what they want with sovereign territorys of other countries or inside their own? That's not how it works
I have no problem if those regions want to go independent or join Russia but do it the right way, create a pro Russian party, gather votes, get majority in parlament and do your thing and if not they can always move to Russia, it isn't far away, Russia has plenty of room and they would be welcomed with open arms. The people living in DNR and LNR were never being bothered unlike the Ukrainians who are now leaving their homes and Romania is offering half a million Ukrainians refuges shelter.
How do you want me to paint Putin then, NATO hasn't threatened with war, only with sanctions and they don't have their forces in Ukraine they only sent them equipment to defend themselves against a much stronger aggressor. Both Macron and Scholz traveled to Russia to try to retain peace but Putin still decided to threaten with war, gather 2/3 of his army on the border and enter Ukraines territory. To no one's surprise not a single UN country supports it. And Russia is now ignoring Ukraines calls.
You say democracy only serves western hegemony, how can democracy serve Russia when they aren't even a democracy themselves. Putin wants to play the "democracy" card meanwhile the mf been in charge for 20 years cmon, don't you think that's a bit hypocritical
