Beast ManI don't even think a no fly zone would be effective. Russia literally borders Ukraine. Instead of air dropping equipment and reinforcements Russia would just send that stuff/troops by land-based means. Which would just extend the length of this conflict without actually pressuring Putin to stop it. The most sure-fire thing a nfz would do is raise tensions on all sides.

Also I think it should be remembered that when Ukraine gave up its nukes, it was under the condition that Russia and the US would guarantee Ukraine's sovereignty. If the United States lived up to its word we'd already have boots on the ground. Of course, our word is worth less than the paper its written on and the US doesn't want a direct war with Russia sooo
This will be a lesson to other countries to try to get nukes and to never give them up. Also the war has already caused the German military to rebuild. Geopolitics will be changed entirely.

This isn't something that happened over night nor is it the act of a madman like the media paints itThis is a conflict that has been brewing for a decade now and the end result is the Russian invasion
He would get nothing out of nuclear warfare and as it's currently playing out, he'll get what he wants - occupation of at least a part of Ukraine and probably a buffer zone between those areas and NATO

Covid curfews f***ed my mom up bc she lived thru a war w somalia.. civil war.. govt repression, for some ppl it brings all those feelings back
Ppl gon be like "oh but it's not as bad as the war going on rn dont play the victim" as if we should all of a sudden keep our empathy limited to one specific group of ppl who are going thru a war rn

Facts.
Libya was told to give up their nukes and they wouldn't be tampered with. So they did. Imperials stormed in and murdered Gaddafi and installed an authoritarian puppet dictator.
Ukraine was told to give up their nukes in exchange for a guarantee of sovereignty by the US and Russia. They did, now Russia's invaded and the US are content with sanctions and condemnation.
Iran was told to stop enriching uranium in exchange for a dramatic easing of sanctions. They did, and the next US president renigged on the deal. The following US president is hardlining conditions for reinstating the deal.
Dog s*** is more valuable than our diplomatic promises.
