If this got out, the outrage would be enormous and pressure for Ukraine to release him would be really big, and if Zelensky is unable to get the Nazis to release him, it would prove that they're now fully out of his control. They have frequently been disobeying his orders since 2019 and there are now even rumors of Ukraine's army shelling Azov lol. News that the Nazi forces are in fact real and not just Russian propaganda and that they are out of control of Ukraine's govt would probably shift public opinion about dumping weapons into Ukraine quite a bit
I wonder if the Nazis would be willing to release him to not endanger their flow of weapons tho

Y’all the ones saying it’s the Star of David. A star on the knees is a classic Russian prison tattoo. I’m don’t think it has to be a specific star based on what I’ve read but it’s also possible this guy just wanted a star on his knees unrelated.
