All I did was comment on some misinfo that Putin applied to join NATO in 2002 and got rejected, just for all of that to turn into, "Oh, well actually they applied 70 years ago when they were still the USSR, and since then have done nothing but say vague statements on wanting to have a better relationship with the west, but maybe if accepted them back in 1954 this wouldn't have happened."
