Look at what russia did in Aleppo and syria, with the news of an increase in civilian area bombings in Ukraine coming out it's clear he's going the same path

and the peace talks will lead to nothing because again, that's the same thing he did with syria how many different conferences did us and syria have like 4? that either did not work or were broken, all while the bombings continued

I think he expected a quick invasion in a few days, now there is a war of attrition, logistical issues, low moral so he's escalating, don't see him taking the L of giving up

I don't buy into the idea that he thought this would be the equivalent of a 4 game sweep when even YouTube a***ysts were breaking down how this wouldn't be a quick affair months in advance. Either we believe that delusion of the highest order is the dominant narrative in the highest spheres of command in Russian military, or there's something that we're missing.

Only committing roughly a third of his military to the invasion and not doing proper combined arms warfare is also curious, but that at least has pragmatic explanations (saving the bulk of his avaliable troops and not revealing the genuine depth of tactics in case NATO involves itself militarily)
