????
Their currency is backed by in-demand commodities. And so many of these politicians are lying about these sanctions and offering a lot of lip service. Plenty of countries silently opened Gazprom accounts to pay in rubles.
Plus s*** like this is going on..
????
currency value isnt about liquidity or market value necessarily which i think is what most people are reading it as. If currency value reflected market condition the US would be in a gilded age rn ($DXY is some of the highest of a 30 year period) - meanwhile it's basically a recession here atm. Currency value is effected by a few things: rate hikes, government shoring of currency (i.e. bonds), debt ratios, and speculation. its also based on relative inflationary rates and purchasing power relative to the country of worth itself. but just because a value exists doesnt mean its transferrable (thats liquidity)
(hit enter too early on this sorry post was unfinished)
basically russias central banks jacked up interest rates significantly to match inflation and government has does everything it can to basically ensure the country operates solely on ruble. this jacks up the relative exchange rate because of the speculated value as per Russia's government, not to the wider system. The liquidity for the ruble is different than the price - this is actually a very similar phenomena you see in crypto (i.e. a coin supposeldy worth $3000 but no one to sell it to so the valuation lives in a vacuum).

prices still way up though so its not like ppl economically gonna be good
think they're making ppl buy gas in rubles only and s*** like that

basically the ruble is going up but first there's no foreign currency to (legally) buy in russia at these rates second there's no way to pay for imported goods at those low prices due to bank sanctions. so whatever arrives will be priced at its 'actual' price related to foreign currency and how hard it is to bring there

oh yeah and prices 1000% gonna shoot up and they already do, its not just import. one of my boys sent us his recent groceries asking to guess how much was it. all of us (like 5 ppl) said around 3000 ₽ ($50)
that s*** was 6000 for a bunch of noodles and a Pepsi can
like one good meal for a day or two
lmao
is this reverse psychology

Leave brother Khalqi alone.
If he desires to live in XinJiang and invest all his money in ruble then let him be.

I noticed the lack of reply from brother khalqi to the explanations provided so I came to a conclusion.
Leave brother khalqi alone! If believing in strength of ruble and greatness of CCP makes him happy, then let him be.. Stop trying to explain s*** to him, he doesn't care!
