No it doesn’t because they aren’t actually communist, but just apply Soviet imagery to Russian nationalism for the sake of nostalgia and morale .
We’ve seen the assumption and denigration of revolutionary politics by their very opponents across modern history. The Nazi’s taking the word “socialist” to appeal to the working class while being diametrically opposed to socialism. The defanging and obfuscation of MLK’s socialist background by the white moderate which he vehemently opposed

You have to appreciate the zeal and strength of the Ukrainians. Most thoight they'd be knocked out much earlier and now they're essentially offsetting their losses
