He just died? Wow. I didn’t know that. You are telling me now for the first time. He led an amazing life. What else can you say. Whether you agreed or not, he was an amazing man who led an amazing life. I am actually sad to hear that. I am sad to hear that.

In 1934, an article by Isaak Mazepa, who was the leader of the Ukrainian nationalist movement at the time— he was a former Premier under Petliura in 1918, who was the Ukrainian that led the pogroms— he boasted that in Ukraine, the Right had succeeded,
in 1930 to 1932, in widely sabotaging the agricultural works.

He said, “At first there were disturbances in the kolkhozi, or else the communist officials and their agents were killed. But later, a system of passive resistance was favored, which aimed at the systematic frustration of the Bolsheviks’ plan for sowing and gathering the harvest. The catastrophe of 1932 was the hardest blow that the Soviet Union had to face since the famine of 1921
to 1922. The Ottoman Spring sowing campaigns both failed. Whole tracks were left unsown. In addition, when the crops were being gathered, in many areas, especially the South, 20, 40 or even 50% were left in the fields and was either not collected all or was ruined in the threshing.”

from the article you agreed with on the previous page

As Stalin’s orders to enforce collectivisation were carried out, many Kulaks responded by burning crops, killing livestock and damaging machinery. Millions of cattle and pigs were slaughtered and left to rot. Estimates of the quantity vary between 20% and 35% of all livestock being deliberately killed. The result was a famine. The country struggled to feed itself.

please, if a political party isn’t already paying you to shill your historically inaccurate takes all over this site, find one that will, so you’ll at least be making money while making a complete clown out of yourself.

Imma need a citation for those statistics

The book why nations fail offers a far better explanation of pretty much everything that ever went wrong for the Soviet Union

Does this get addressed in any of J Arch Getty's work? I started Stalinist Terror: New Perspectives lately but am not that far in

    @Scratchin_Bandit

    I'm sure it's included somewhere

how about a source for your own claims ?

and not one that can be traced back to William Randolph Hearst, aka "If Hitler succeeds in pointing the way of peace and order,
he will have accomplished a measure of good, not only for his own people, but for all of humanity.”

I'm not familiar with the molotov-ribbentrop pact, nor the katyn forest so I cannot speak on that

But the thing was I was talking about something different than what you brought up. I can't help but feel it's irrelevant.

Like what part of my post would lead you to post what you just did? That's what I'm wondering right now.

To equivocate the USSR with Nazi Germany is heinous, but as expected with eastern european right wingers

Poland got attacked for taking an entire chunk of Ukraine in the 1918 war prior. For someone who cries about Ukraine all day, you should know this. Galicia was all taken by Poland and the USSR got it back 2 decades later. If not for that, Ukraine would have lost Lviv, a town I am sure is so dear to your heart as a Zelensky enthusiast

Even if holodomor was a genocide and intended. The Soviet Union even under stalin; which was a depraved, totalitarian mess, cannot be equivocated with nazi Germany , who killed many more Ukrainians.

That doesn't mean Soviets should get away with their s***. Timothy Snyder is the best on this topic. Taking aim at both VoC bullshit and tankie apologia.

    Putin's russia is fascist.
