Thank f*** i don't have to listen to this s*** again. That's one down
Professors R. W. Davies and Stephen G. Wheatcroft state the famine was man-made but unintentional. They believe that a combination of rapid industrialization and two successive bad harvests (1931 and 1932) were the primary reason of the famine.33 Davies and Wheatcroft agree that Stalin's policies towards the peasants were brutal and ruthless and do not absolve Stalin from responsibility for the massive famine deaths; Wheatcroft says that the Soviet government's policies during the famine were criminal acts of fraud and manslaughter, though not outright murder or genocide.
The guy was doing what he accused me of doing. His 2 referenced historians both agree it was man made but unintentional
We all agreed that Stalin's policy was brutal and ruthless and that its cover up was criminal, but we do not believe that it was done on purpose to kill people and cannot therefore be described as murder or genocide. ... Davies and I have (2004) produced the most detailed account of the grain crisis in these years, showing the uncertainties in the data and the mistakes carried out by a generally ill-informed, and excessively ambitious, government. The state showed no signs of a conscious attempt to kill lots of Ukrainians and belated attempts that sought to provide relief when it eventually saw the tragedy unfolding were evident. ... But in the following ten years there has been a revival of the 'man-made on purpose' side. This reflects both a reduced interest in understanding the economic history, and increased attempts by the Ukrainian government to classify the 'famine as a genocide'. It is time to return to paying more attention to economic explanations

The above is what Wheatcroft had to say in a 2018 article in The Economist
Man made, unintentional
And that's how they treat their own

So we're gonna declare war against Russia or what? What a dumbass statement
A farewell to arms. By year end Russia will be left almost without shells, artillery and armored vehicles
'Because of the sanctions, Russia cannot continue full industrial production of weapons and replenish its arms stockpiles, which are rapidly running out'
Idiots
oh nah the videos mirrored

Didn’t the Soviets also parade around with the Wehrmacht in Brest-Litovsk, Grodno, and Pinsk? Lol didn’t they also basically help Nazi Germany continue operations with the German-Soviet Commercial Agreement and there was also German-Soviet Axis talks? Bruh what are these memes
Also didn’t the Soviets basically f*** over the Spain Republic?
The anarchists didn’t f*** with the republicans first

The UK and France handed multiple countries to Nazi germany on a platter
People were making pragmatic choices all over the 1930’s
My predictions:
-the Ukrainians will take kherson back, but it's going to be a while
-the germans are going to cave over sanctions. This will severely weaken nato cohesion. America will from now on be reluctant to defend ungrateful b******s with deep pockets.
-with russia having redeveloped competitive industry from its import substitution, and Asian suppliers, German manufacturing will never be a strong again - its either not coming back or if it does, never as strongly
-the visegrad countries are going to become increasingly hawkish on russia, the eu being increasingly dominated by French and Polish interests
It's an utterly cursed outcome but sanctions haven't worked. It's a shame but I guess it shows there's no guarantee fascism will be defeated on first attempt
I'd easily choose America over Russia if given the choice and so would everyone at risk of Russian oppression
not a single mention of this from my Russian-speaking friends or in the news

People have consistently been mistaken in characterising Russia as an oligarchy where they call the shots
In Russia, the real power lies with the security apparatus and always has done, from the Tsar to Stalin to now
At the turn of the millennium, Putin had the means to neutralise oligarchs with political ambitions, while embedding those that supported him and protecting their interest in exchange for support
This is extremely similar to Ivan IV relationship with the Boyars
If you step out of line with the state you will be killed
