They’ll drop a nuke over this guy! No wait, he was actually killed so they wouldn’t drop a nuke. No wait, actually Putin killed his own guy so he could drop a nuke with ease. No wait, it’s other people around Putin who killed him to make sure he won’t drop a nuke. No wait,

Ukraine already claimed it
if Russia succeeds in taking Ukraine (inevitable?), would they rebuild it? would any Ukranians return? would Russians move there?

They are currently rebuilding certain parts rn. Not exactly sure of their long term plans though.

ukraine the entire country or d/lnr n s***? theres a long term plan for subsidizing the donbass region but im not familiar with the details. people will probably return once the war stops there

i guess i just mean however much they end up with when the war is over one day. it's just crazy to destroy a place and then expect people to assimilate with your initiatives

They're never going to take the full country. But the main Eastern Donbass areas were already filled with Russian-leaning residents and most of them fled to Russia and are "citizens" now. Russia has the most Ukrainian refugees of any country
They're gonna rebuild housing, invest in XYZ, the Chinese will likely invest since Ukraine was a BRI partner anyways and then some of those residents will eventually come back, other Russians will move there, and as a whole the society there will be drastically different. Control there has been contested for over 10 years now

What made you post this article from a dude who is clearly not independent and seems he is apologizing Russia actions thruout the history based on its posts ?
What a f***ing waste of a conflict

I just had a lengthy and highly productive phone call with President Vladimir Putin of Russia. We discussed Ukraine, the Middle East, Energy, Artificial Intelligence, the power of the Dollar, and various other subjects. We both reflected on the Great History of our Nations, and the fact that we fought so successfully together in World War II, remembering, that Russia lost tens of millions of people, and we, likewise, lost so many! We each talked about the strengths of our respective Nations, and the great benefit that we will someday have in working together. But first, as we both agreed, we want to stop the millions of deaths taking place in the War with Russia/Ukraine. President Putin even used my very strong Campaign motto of, “COMMON SENSE.” We both believe very strongly in it. We agreed to work together, very closely, including visiting each other’s Nations. We have also agreed to have our respective teams start negotiations immediately, and we will begin by calling President Zelenskyy, of Ukraine, to inform him of the conversation, something which I will be doing right now. I have asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Director of the CIA John Ratcliffe, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, and Ambassador and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, to lead the negotiations which, I feel strongly, will be successful. Millions of people have died in a War that would not have happened if I were President, but it did happen, so it must end. No more lives should be lost! I want to thank President Putin for his time and effort with respect to this call, and for the release, yesterday, of Marc Fogel, a wonderful man that I personally greeted last night at the White House. I believe this effort will lead to a successful conclusion, hopefully soon!
Was always going to end like this. U.S calls Russia and then informs Ukraine of what will be happening. Ukraine's opinion does not matter and EU wasn't even mentioned. This is U.S-Russia negotiations
Also indicated Trump may visit Moscow and Putin visits DC.
Doubt this will wind down thaaat soon but writing's on the wall
also a VERY notable missing name: Keith Kellogg, Trump's special envoy to Russia and Ukraine. That's interesting considering he was actively tasked with bringing Trump peace options and wanted to visit Moscow, but he also seemed pretty strong against Russia and supported more pressure
Unless Trump forgot his name, then it looks like Russia got him booted. All of the heavy hitters in U.S security/intel are listed as negotiators, and Steve Witkoff is included, who was the Middle East envoy and played the role in getting Israel for the ceasefire last month.
edit: holy s*** Witkoff met Putin. I think i'm right then

Been known Trump will abandon Ukraine, read again what I said tho.
You are INSANE if you think Russia wants to invade Ukraine
What do they gain? Ukraine is an economic s*** hole... they would have to maintain power over a mostly hostile population... theyd get hit with Iran levels of sanctions
Thankfully Putin is too smart to draw his country into what would be their version of Vietnam
