Here goes snowbot on my nuts again putting words in my mouth like how i "understand palestinians better than themselves" meanwhile bot spends their whole life online arguing with @Vertical1600 over his own experiences with russia, but you understand post soviet-bloc peoples better than him right?

says the "palestinian" that also somehow knows all the ins and outs of Ukraine-Russia relations to "akshually!" explain away all of Russia's aggression to paint them in a better light

i know you love the thought of children dying of famine and disease since Trump pulled the plug on USAID you real sicko bot.

Taking the side of authoritarian countries like NK and Russia is clown s*** even as the US slides into authoritarianism. All they wanna do is repeat ad nauseam all the atrocities the US and the west have done while glossing over what their own self-proclaimed team has done.

And if we want to bring up personal biases I’ll freely admit I have an extended Russian family member who fled the country 10 years ago. And family who fled their country in South America due to communist terrorists but at least in the west I can be critical of my own government

whatever happened to your family they clearly deserved

Whole emergency meeting on Monday was yet another lame attempt ton "show unity." Europe is truly screwed this time and there's no one to blame but themselves. They've been warned for decades about this

We're at a time in history where the U.S and Russia are redrawing the map and discussing the future of European security without Europe... and in the Middle East. This was such an obvious summit to hold in a Finland or Switzerland but that's completely impossible now cus they're not neutral anymore.

And this was always the fate for Ukraine since summer 2022. There have been users saying this for years in this sxn

Genuinely unsure how you can take even a slight peak at U.S history and come to the conclusion that the U.S was going to see this conflict through, support Ukraine in taking all their land back, and helping Europe. All while there are far more important concerns out there. There's very little history of this unless the U.S was attacked in the process and was forced into action

A lot of this still goes back to that 2017 Obama article. Ukraine was always a losing scenario and everyone but the Biden administration understood this

Obama’s theory here is simple: Ukraine is a core Russian interest but not an American one, so Russia will always be able to maintain escalatory dominance there.
“The fact is that Ukraine, which is a non-nato country, is going to be vulnerable to military domination by Russia no matter what we do,” he said.
I asked Obama whether his position on Ukraine was realistic or fatalistic.
“It’s realistic,” he said. “But this is an example of where we have to be very clear about what our core interests are and what we are willing to go to war for."

So they could ride the coat tails of US security and wealth like the other atlanticists while not having to do much to develop strategic, independent foreign and security policy. Fell for our blank promises. How’s that turning out?

At the end of the day they’re still stuck with Russia playing a larger role in their future while US is actively threatening to deprioritize the continent

Like the Russian supporters movement in Ukraine wasn’t funded and encouraged by Russia, no that support was totally organic no collusion

Westernization generally means improved economic conditions why would they possibly want that
