The US and NATO will not involve themselves militarily unless NATO is attacked (which Russia doesn’t want.) Ukraine was a liability off rip and putting American troops on the ground will only kill more people and escalate the war. This entire thing basically restabilizes the pre-2014 status quo and is mutually beneficial to both spheres
China will not involve themselves because they benefit from political posturing for peace. They’ll aso benefit from staying out if NATO jumps in, because they can observe military tactics play out in real time to apply to Taiwan. They also benefit from the instability this creates.
This war will be over quick unless NATO picks something up. The ramifications? We’ll have to see post war
