I agree that it doesn't justify Russia's invasion, that's just agitative propaganda. The actual reason is NATO (also not justifiable).

I disagree that we should be arming those Nazi militias tho, it would be the same story as Islamist fundamentalists in Afghanistan being armed to fight against the Russian invasion. Didn't end well

is the nazi number in ukraine comparable to the Islamist fundamentalists in Afghanistan? cus the way I see it rn, I rather risk giving 1 million (Ik it’s less than this) nazis weapons to protect 43 million relatively innocent citizens (Ik my numbers are exaggerated but my point is that I rather save the overwhelming majority of innocent to risk giving evil people weapons)

the question here is what will happen after the war and we leave the country destroyed with a bunch of militarized nazi militias seizing power

the country's proximity to western europe probably means we'll do a better job stabilizing the region than we did in the middle east but it's not a good idea to underestimate our stupidity in international affairs

this is the line of thinking i’ve been seein a lot itt but it doesn’t make sense to me. russia invades, which is wrong, but it’s also wrong to help the country that’s now defending itself

if it’s wrong to help ukraine, then is it right to let russia jus go on? or is that wrong still? if that’s wrong, then what’s the point of the sentiment?

That would start a nuclear war. If you're gonna arm them, do it on the condition that they cut ties with Nazis. If they aren't willing to do that, then maybe the govt is more sympathetic to Nazism than I even thought at first

There is no situation where I think we should arm Nazis that are active in spreading Nazism and militarily training Nazis across Europe and North America, sorry. If you're gonna arm them, do it on the condition that the govt cuts ties with Nazi militias.

It's wild to me that opposition to arming Nazis is a controversial opinion
