look it's like ur just intentionally missing my point I'm pretty sure we agree on almost everything except a few specifics

I meant that US corruption affects US citizens negatively, but to a lesser degree than Russian corruption affects Russian citizens. US citizens going "we got it worse" sounds dumb and is frankly pretty privileged and ignorant, no? I think we agree on this.

"always" isn't accurate; the data in the polls you linked are from 2015, one year after Russia's annexation of Crimea, which saw Ukrainian's support for Russia dwindle drastically. However, prior to the annexation, Ukraine-Russia relations were much closer. Study I linked earlier from 2011:

I’d say innocent people being forced to be complicit in their government waging war overseas for money while they starve at home is the same condition for both countries

The US just does it across the entire world while pretending they’re something they’re not

Also, effects of US corruption are def larger on a global scale, but this isn't because the US is more severely corrupt than russia, its because the US has significantly more global power than Russia.

I think we agree on this also.

It's fair to say that if Putin's Russia was in the position of the US as a hegemonic power, atrocities would be committed on a similar, if not larger, scale
