i don't think Putin really cares about these negociations.

even if Ukraine is showing some resistance, the russian strikes will intensify, and at some point Zelensky will either get killed, or forced to escape. then, we'll see a regime change in favor of Russia

    but that's just my opinion

Oh yeah, Russia will win and regime change will happen. But then Ukraine will change in a guerilla warzone. The armed population won't support that government at this time and Russia can't occupy the whole of Ukraine forever

Could/would they trade out demilitarization for giving the separatist states to Russia?

Feels like kind of a stupid statement but

nah because Putin will always see Ukraine as a threat

Why should the ukraine do that lol

    they shouldnt

they are asking a sovereign state to give up its ability to defend itself

a neutral ukraine basically means russian alignment, but quietly
it will default to being at the mercy of its neighbour who basically leverages energy and naval dominance over it

    "unconditional consideration of"

These are not all breaking points, I could see him concede on the denazification and demilitarization and use their refusal to do so as a way to put them in a bad light.

i expect some kind of purge, but it won't probably be enough yeah.

hard to predict that will happen after a regime change tbh

Why should the ukraine do that lol

Calling them "The Ukraine" is terminology used by the former USSR to mean "the border".

The country should only be referred to as Ukraine without the "the"

Ukraine should definitely be denazified tho

Just not by an invasion. That doesn't work anyway.

maybe the de-nazification part because Putin doesn't give a f*** about nazis in Ukraine.

but he will never accept the presence of an army in Ukraine

Yes. He'll want more land because of the northern crim canal, but it's likely that such a deal is what will lead to peace.

Bro literally every state has a proper army lmao, that wouldn't work unless you're saying Putin wants Ukraine integrated into the Russian Federation as a Republic

The revenge part would be ruled out by the neutrality agreement

If Putin is willing to poison opposition in his own country, I don't think he'll be hesitant to purge out any resistance after a regime change.
