so i guess i'm conflating two different things here..
but isn't it kinda still in HK interests not to get trialed in China? and should they not have a say in the matter? If they are fiercely resisting the extradition bill, then they're clearly not happy and coerced against their will
yes 100% It's not in their interest, unfortunately COVID hit, protest fatigued kicked in and National Security Laws were imposed which basically f***ed any mass gathering protest attempts
It was all done lawfully of course, but unjust in the eyes of the ppl in HK.
I believe the only real violent protests were done by the young university students but ultimately the rest of the population didn't want to escalate violence and made it a point to do it peacefully.

How is asking someone to vet a video from a subreddit I made clear was biased anywhere near drawing conclusions from a source

and yeah @Extraterrestrial i can admit i'm sloppy with fact checking and doing background checks on people... i actually don't have the energy for it
but it's honestly not like i fully trust anyone, like the Coach Redpill guy either.
I was kinda on the fence while listening to what he had to say.. still shouldn't mean he was telling 100% lies but yeah it is a dubious source for sure
