    Responsibility = Power

    Casting away responsibility is also called blame.

    When we blame politicians for the mess in our political system we give them political power over us.
    When we blame our past or “human nature” for who we are now when we fall short of decent or Good behaviour we give the past power over who we are.
    When we blame the neighbor’s dog for keeping us up at night we give the dog power over our sleep. The dog can decide how much sleep we get...

    Giving power away is dangerous because we can’t change those things. Regardless of whether it’s their fault it’s our responsibility. When we take responsibility we have the power to do whatever we like. And I mean whatever. Stop giving away your power. Take it back from where you cast it. Whether you blame white privilege, toxic family members, Trump, your upbringing, whatever.

    Think, if you had the power to do anything, with as much ease or difficulty as you please, what would you do? After you have a satisfying answer, take responsibility for creating it.
