It’s crazy cause there’s so many rappers people have said that about and they’re still here lol. Gucci, Migos, Sosa, Durk etc

These type of posts be looking dusty

Gucci been around since 2000s tho lol and Migos kinda lost steam when people gassed Quavo as the best of the group

@op has strong opinions and I fw it

  • NewCopeJustDropped

No rapper has it in them to be Eminem level lol

Yeah holding new rappers to that type of standard is crazy when it’s not even the norm fr lol it’s just old heads trying to dunk on new niggas

Future is one of the greatest to do it bro, Baby hasn’t even released one project as good as Future’s mixtape - self titled run

People will talk s*** about everybody but the signs speak for themselves

Back in the day future wasn’t held to that standard which is my point. People thought he was over in 2013. We can’t say a rapper isn’t going to be around or don’t have staying power. The music industry is lowkey too unpredictable like that. Like in 2015 when Durk was irrelevant asf, who would’ve thought he’d be one of the hottest rappers in 2022?

i think they would've lost steam anyways bc rap was changing & the migos sound was getting stale. they were too present and people got sick of hearing Quavo on every other song that came out

Quavo admittedly had a great run 2016-2017, even into 2018 was still killing features

  • Kinda feel like y'all missing the point of @Jetpack post idk.

These new guys got popularity and stuff but they're not going on the same type of runs as artists from past decades man, let's keep it real

Future was “over” cuz he tried something new and didnt work out. lil baby is the opposite of 2013 future. he’ll do the same thing over and over cuz it works

Ain’t nobody really popping anymore. Every time someone gasses up a new artist on here, it’s ALWAYS “we 13 and outside” music or sounds like every other artist already out. It’s just all cope

What makes a rapper a true creative?

The music sounding fresh and engaging marks a creative rapper. That’s how Future can make the same 10 songs sound good every time he makes them again.

If it sounds stale, beaten down, repetitive, monotonous, hollow….like Baby right now…that’s not a mark of creativity.

No Baby could never release Illmatic he’s never made a single song as good as any of the songs on that album. Whole argument is moot
