Apparently this is a big thing in the states. It happens here sometimes but it sounds like in America no one would even bat an eye if they were asked to pass a screening before getting an official job offer.

I get why they do it but to me that just sounds insane (especially testing for the puff). Weed will stay in your system longer than the harder d****. What do you guys think

Commonplace in America like you stated. Annoying because employers don’t care if you get s***faced drunk on your off time but a lot of places will fire you if you get busted with THC in your system

Yeah my job got pre employment testing and random testing. You can be called whenever.
Yet they don’t test for pills or nothing so we got some pill poppers which seems way less safe than just smokers.

We union though so if someone gets busted they go on medical leave to go to rehab. After that you’re gone if you get caught

it's an outdated concept and an invasion of privacy but I get why some jobs require it

there are countries where it's common to have psychological tests as part of the job application process. especially in the corporate environment. like they give you rorschach and personality tests and s***. that's crazy to me

Any job where you work with heavy machinery and s*** is fine
