Exactly. This one of the times they've booked themselves into a corner. Who else was Britt gonna face? Coulda did Big Swole but you can't really build her up with her disease if she gonna have to take time off.
i mean its fine, britt's title reign is defo coming to an end since she's beaten pretty much every face, now they're finally having her lose on TV and that'll start the downfall
there's nothing wrong with the champs losing on TV if its booked correctly (see: Kingston and Penta beating the Bucks that one time)

Really who gives a s*** if the b**** loses on TV or not? Lol
You lot try and play Wrestling Observer so much that all you can think of is how people should win and lose. When and where. “Well, this is how I would’ve done it in my gm mode.”
How do yall even enjoy the ride?

Remind me which one that is again? Lol

ric flair jobbing to russo in a cage match
kevin nash in a gauntlet match went over 11 midgets (including mysterio and candido) in less than 5 minutes
terry funk puts over eric bischoff and eric wins the hardcore title
Remind me which one that is again? Lol
Basically,Russo and Bischoff come out and brag on themselves,Russo pisses off Goldberg and Gberg beats up and runs off at least 15 security guards. There’s Goldberg vs Tank Abbot,Bishoff beats Terry Funk for the Hardcore title, there’s two steel cage matches in one night. One with Flair/Russo and Hogan/Horace.
GI Bro/Booker T wrestles Billy Kidman because he called the chick in his faction a stupid b****(Torrie Wilson turns on Billy Kidman with an ineffective low blow because he’s wearing a cup)Did I mention that in between the Funk/Bischoff match, there’s a whole segment with The Secretary/Stacy Kiebler and this other chick who’s gimmick is that she’s obsessed with herself.
This was all done in a 2hr span with commercial breaks and I actually didn’t describe the whole episode cause Scott Steiner has a match against Vampiro where before the match,he cuts a random promo about how he met a freak in the club and f***ed her brains out. It’s insane
That episode basically answered the question of “what would happen if you let the randomizer in SVR 07 GM mode book a real show” lmao

So WWE flip flopping with booking them on shows and Top Dolla talking s*** on social media is what got them fired?

oh lord lol still sounds better than WWE's current product
I remember when WCW got trash around the end of 99-00 which is when I started paying more attention to what WWF was doing...still preferred WCW up until the end of 00 but by that point WWF had gotten such a great roster and the booking was better
I have a vague memory of Dennis Rodman and Macho Man fighting near porta potties
it's rough when you have Insane Clown Posse as actual members of your roster and they're not even close to the worst part of your program the episode of Thunder where they call a Sting vs Vampiro match is classic...poor Schiavone didn't know wtf was happening

It was wrestling becoming a parody of itself except the budget was there. The wrestling just took a backseat to shenanigans and looking back at it,it was entertaining af lol. But I imagine being a real fan of a lot of those wrestlers in WCW and seeing a lot of those guys look like goofs every week was tough TV.

I remember when they said on TV that Goldberg "went off script"...like most viewers know pro wrestling is scripted and pre determined but acknowledging it on the actual show made a lot of people think "well what's the point of watching if you guys don't even take it seriously anymore?"...Russo cutting that very real promo on Hulk and having Jeff lay down for him was another example...Russo didn't really give much of a s*** about pro wrestling and was more into car crash TV and s*** like the Springer Show...many have said it already but when McMahon was filtering Russo's ideas it created the Attitude Era and was pretty awesome...then he jumped to WCW and basically tried to do the same thing but this time without any filter so what you got was very little wrestling, screwy finishes (which was always an issue with WCW if we're being honest), and a bunch of trash...sure it was entertaining but I feel like it chased off a lot of long time, loyal fans of WCW...think Meltzer said their buy rate and viewership from 97-99 took a complete nosedive in 00...someone like myself who enjoys the occasional sleazy storyline or angle as long as there's solid wrestling to fill in the gaps got tired of the matches being dog s*** for the most part...I remember being a huge Sting fan during that era but hating how he was used most of the time
so yeah it was entertaining the same way watching s*** like The Springer Show or the OG Howard Stern Show was but for fans of great wrestling matches and angles it was a travesty lol

I feel like there’s some magic that could be made with this kind of wrestling, just as long as there’s a real booker behind it and a real budget. I’d love to see a promotion with a real backing do absurd stories and matches except the wrestling is actually there, pretty much the only way I could see a wrestling promotion being on premium TV(HBO,Showtime etc)
Watching the Ohio State/Michigan game and these Smackdown commercials
They do crazy promo for SD and still can barely crack 2M views lol
