It's partially that but also bc if they start the main event halfway thru the show its easy to predict the match will go the entire hour...starting the shoe off with it allows you to still be surprised when it goes the full hour

A better way of doing what they did would have been Sting and Darby running out to attack FTR but save the lights going out for Punk showing up to help out...could have even had MJF hype up that Punk wasn't there tonight or some s*** so its a bigger shock when he does the assist

I don't think Dynamite was as bad or even as mid as some of y'all saying it was tonight...obviously when the title match is Hangman vs Danielson and it goes an entire hour it's going to be the highlight of the night but I thought Shida vs Deeb was very good as was MJF vs Dante...I think a lot of ppl got themselves hyped up for a surprise signing to debut like with Sting last year or a crazy plot twist like Omega beating Mox for the title but it was still a good episode all in all just not a great one outside of that opening match of course...Wardlow vs Sydal was basically a squash but was mostly to further the storyline of Wardlow slowly getting sick of MJF and Pinnacle's BS...just not sure why they had to have Sydal be the one to be destroyed by Wardlow esp considering Sydal was just having a very competitive match with Kenny Omega earlier this year...so IMO they should have just had Wardlow smash a weaker opponent

yeah he had a few sloppy moments in that match tonight but is capable of doing amazing s***...he smooths out in the ring a bit more and he's got it (that spot where he flipped and landed knee-first into MJF's chest on accident looked rough and then the flip outside the ring off the top rope where he overshot and nearly missed MJF completely)
