They better put the belts on Lee and Swerve
That brawl between JAS and Eddie's friends was funny for the wrong reasons
S*** looked terrible
Wardlow
He better destroy MJF
I think the feud will keep going after MJF takes the L but I hope AEW will build up Wardlow the right way also after the feud is over.
Wardlow better be champion by the time Revolution 2023 comes
Wouldn’t even put the TNT title on Wardlow
Great Value Tom Hardy that just looks constipated. He’s got a powerbomb though
The cage match wasn’t anything crazy but it’s abundantly clear that the MJF/Wardlow feud and Wardlow in particular is over like crazy. I don’t even think they need to have some classic match on Sunday, they just need to have him powerbomb Max a bunch of times and people will have gotten what they paid for.
Hangman/Punk wasn’t exactly a great promo but it did well setting the dinner table for their match. Feels like they’re setting up Punk to win the title by illmannered means and then everyone can see the Punk that Hangman and Kingston said they’ve seen.
Private Party/Violent Crown was pretty fun. Kingston’s finally doing the Stretch Plum properly with the correct neck crank so that’s good. Kinda wild how Jericho’s gotten this Wizard fireball gimmick over, is there anything he can’t get over?
The United Empire run in was a cool surprise but man did O-Khan’s dance partners let him down. Cobb for some reason turned Romero’s head to the wrong side for the cutter and didn’t even fall down with it. And then Trent jumped up and through the table before O-Khan could put him through it. Really shows the intelligence levels when people are blaming him for s*** he had no control over.
Triple threat was MOTN. Starks is so good at all the things inbetween the moves, his physical charisma is off the charts. Lee almost pancaked Hobbs with that botched Tornillo, don’t know how he f***ed that.
That Rosa promo was such a huge improvement for her. Someone has clearly been working with her on her stuff more. More confidence, took her time and her promo went from A to B flawlessly. Here’s hoping the Deeb match gets her some more cred back.
Oh boy, the women’s Owen match. Bless Toni, she tried her hardest, but even she couldn’t get a good match out of Britt. She was out there moving like she was stuck in a bathtub filled with maple syrup. She’s the common denominator for a lot of bad matches on AEW tv this year. And Britt has no business being in the finals of that tournament when she can’t work a PPV level match save her life. The booking should be Statlander finally getting her big win and dethroning Jade but I do genuinely fear Tony wants the image of Cole and Baker with those Owen belts. He needs to sense the mood.
The Joe/O’Reilly match was a potato fest. Remember when WWE fans were convinced Joe was broken down and couldn’t do it anymore? And yet he’s come out of WWE and returned to reaching his full potential like every other person who leaves there. Can’t wait for Nakamura to leave and turn the magic back on and all the same window lickers will be like “wHeRe WaS tHiS gUy In WwE?!?!”.
I know people are turning off on Cole but he’s always had great matches with big strikes where he can’t go into that auto pilot superkick/destroyer routine he gets stuck in. Joe’s gonna tee off on him and it’s gonna be fun to watch.

The story writes itself tho.
MJF beat Hangman and goes on a long run as champ then Wardlow dethrones MJF
I find him entertaining.
It's pop corn wrestling and I'm personally cool with it

I don’t mind him I just think he needs more work than other people do.
The next big man TK needs to get behind imo is Hobbs
Need Miro back.
Whenever Ricky & Hobbs fall out(it’s wrestling, they will) it’ll be better than MJF/Wardlow

Hoobs has been in the same situation storyline-wise for a year or so
Ricky is talented and charismatic as hell but he still doing the same old routine.
Last night's triple threat was great and Ricky stole the show but he doesn't go further
He's stuck in the same position too.
The booking doesn't push him up and not even down
He's in the same place.
Great O-Khan wylin in Vegas rn lmao
my nigga
TK is not gonna let having Punk as champ slip thru his fingers. Punk has a very small window and it needs to be taken advantage of. He will be holding the belt at some point this year
Great O-Khan wylin in Vegas rn lmao
Weird
I think it might be Punk.
I didn't even think of that! But Punk isn't really the conformist (outside of Nexus) Punk joining BC would immediately make them insanely popular and relevant in the states. You talk about ratings?! That would put way more eyes on AEW.

Everyone would be happy.
NJPW gets all that new merch money and AEW gets their big heel world ender faction.
Dave and Bryan were alluding on WOR to there being some truth behind what Hangman said in his promo about Punk backstage and Dave flat out used the “Bret and HBK” a***ogy.
Didn’t Miro just shade tweet Punk’s tweet recently about standing up for his fellow coworkers too?
Punk is too opinionated to be well liked throughout the locker room lol
Nothing wrong with having strong opinions either. Just gotta know you’re gonna piss some people off
Storm/Britt match lol
personally I don't understand the criticisms people are giving that match...thought it was very good especially for a Britt match even though Toni was putting in a lot of the work

did not know Violent Crown was the name of Mox/Kingston's team but I dig it...I liked Britt vs Toni myself but I suppose Britt's just never gonna be it for some people
Punk/Hangman segment was fire, don't really care about all that s*** Meltzer etc are saying as we've been seeing Punk lean into some heel tendencies even during his feud with Kingston. End of the segment with him smiling, defo got him playing a smarmy, manipulator which will probs pay off with a turn at some point, don't think it'll have anything to do with BC though.
