Holy s***, just caught Malakai Black on IG Live going off.

Said he’s not going anyway, he’s taking a “couple weeks, maybe a couple months” off, that he’s got mental health and personal issues to deal with (kinda sounded like shot with Thea to me the way he was wording it) and will be back in AEW. Said the dirt sheets are talking s***, that if you don’t hear it from him it’s not true and to keep him out of the tribalism WWE vs. AEW bullshit. Also said his contract was never for 5 years.

I think he probably did ask for his release after that talent meeting but they worked it out in private and TK had him go off on sabbatical but all people backstage heard was him asking for his release.
