Dixie really brought back Russo and Spike went
What's not talked about enough is that Dixie actually f***ed up the deal herself, when renewing the contract with Spike. She was trying to get more out of the deal than Spike was willing to offer. Russo apparently wasn't really the main issue for once.
in my personal opinion, what I saw on Dixie is that she was so desperate to be just like Stephanie McMahon because she wanted to have her own reality TV show. And it’s like, who would f*cking watch that? Excuse my language Who would watch that? Who would watch a Dixie Carter reality show?
Spike TV were going to renew a contract with TNA and she wanted like double what they were offering and Spike TV was like, Are you crazy? But god bless them and I don’t blame them. They held their ground until they were like, Alright, well, no, we’re done. And then she was like, Oh, no, no, we will sign that it sounds great and then and then they were just like shrugs. And then all of a sudden, you know, at TV we’re filming and all of us are like, are we gonna have a job next month? Like what? Like, it was crazy. It was crazy vibes backstage when that happened, but that was all her.”
solid episode of Dynamite tonight...I wonder what led to changing the main event from Jericho/Danielson to Pac/OC (they were advertising just as recently as Dark last night that Jericho/Danielson would main event)...maybe they wanted to send the crowd home happy rather than on a sour note with Garcia's turn back to heel...anyways both those matches were very good as was the women's tag team match...JB/Luchasaurus was fine but feel like JB should have picked up the W there...I guess if Christian will still be out for awhile though it makes sense to drag it out...Mox/Hangman segment ruled...Gunn/Swerve and WarJoe's match were also fine
oh no another paragraph about pro wrestling in a pro wrestling thread...fuck off

this Meltzer?
Angelina Love
I remember Bischoff/Hogan's TNA pushing Abyss as a top star...that right there put me off bc that character annoyed the f*** outta me...on top of that Mr. Anderson had a great push that was cut short and he never truly recovered from and all the other ridiculous decision making...they practically forced me to turn WWE back on and once I didn't like what was on there either I stopped watching it completely
TNA had major potential but completely fumbled it. I pray that TK/AEW don’t end up the same way years down the line.
they need to angle Jericho more into a likable heel role because that's what he is...crowd loves him rn but he's supposed to be a heel...seems to be trying to drive home the point that he's a heel by cheating and beating up innocents but he's still over af and hardly ever gets the boos MJF still manages to get even when the crowd initially cheers him...putting him in the role of the bad guy who will also help out the good guys for the greater good occasionally because they're just out for themselves seems to make more sense rn

they're already off to a much better start and way bigger than TNA ever was even if the numbers were different back then (something Bischoff always tries to point to but the way ppl watch tv has in fact drastically changed)...could it all go to s*** one day and fall apart? absolutely but they'd be far from the first to fail and should still be proud of what they've accomplished so far

Keep doing your thing man, f*** these tldr lookin asses
I know Spears is from Canada but considering he hasn't really rocked the 10 gimmick in AEW and there's actually another wrestler that goes by 10 that part confused the f*** out of me at first and I was like "is Preston Vance from Canada?"
it's weird how all of the Pinnacle are still homies and babyfaces now except for the leader MJF (who also cut a very good promo tonight I thought)

Yo I don’t get why he’s so popular I started around 2017 and he wasn’t even on tv much but when he was they’d start chanting TEN
Daniel had to pull the trigger when he got in the ring, that s*** so obvious when they argue first

Russo booked those negotiations
Both Hangman and MJF had great promos last night.
I saw some mention they should feud.

They probably are next tbh. I actually can see either Hangman getting close to beating Mox, Mox wins but then MJF cashes in the chip and becomes AEW champion in Mox's hometown. (something he would do).
Or they drag Mox/Hangman to Full Gear with their third bout, and Hangman goes over, only for MJF to cash in there; and it'll be in Newark New Jersey, essentially MJF's hometown. The ladder seems very likely. And Mox will go on a much needed vacation.lol
