Man,I don’t wanna sound like a cocksucker but,Cody literally carried pro wrestling on his back tonight. The fans saying he’s an idiot for going out there are why wrestling has been pretty stagnant in terms of gaining a new audience. Seth/Cody tonight literally shuts up all his doubters,every person that goes “wrestling is fake” without context.

I honestly think that match was an instant classic and Will live in pro wrestling history.

I never ever wanna hear anything about Tony Khan not stopping the Hardy/Guevara All Out match and how unsafe it is there when Vince just let Cody Rhodes do a HIAC match with a pectoral muscle completely ripped off the bone and floating under the skin.

Doesn’t really matter how good the match was when the level of irresponsibility used to have it is insane.

Also hate that THAT was the Cody Pedigree spot after all this time.

For months in AEW it was basically getting built up to this crescendo where everyone thought that all the teasing would lead to it becoming his big heel turn moment.

Instead tonight it was just basically fan service that got a 2 count.

He’s docked amazing Naito/Ibushi matches points due to the irresponsible head drops they did.

So I can’t imagine this getting a 4.5 or higher due to them letting him go out there with only one side of his upper body working properly.

I’d take HoB/DT, Darby/O’Reilly, AITA, Rosa/Deeb, 3 way tag and Punk/Hangman over the whole HIAC card including the preshow.

HIAC was nice and didn’t feel like it was dragging. DoN was a drag until the last few matches.
