In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter: “After the 5/18 show in Houston, there was a confrontation in the hotel the wrestlers were staying at between Chris Jericho and MVP at about 1 a.m. after the Dynamite tapings. Something that I'm not clear of happened 18 months ago where they had a falling out. Jericho was talking to Matt Hardy and MVP showed up. Most people didn't know what was up and thought he was kidding around until it became clear he wasn't kidding. Nothing bad happened even though it was a tense situation. Jericho did tell him that he doesn't fight jobbers when he got in the elevator and MVP was screaming about it in the lobby”

MVP must have wanted to know where his wife was on January 6 as well.

Dave Meltzer on CM Punk: When they did the surgery, they found the injuries to the bones were worse than they expected, but with the surgery, they were able to fix everything up. There is no timetable for his return past the belief it will be before the end of the year. It’s not clear when it happened but the two most notable points in his performance at the Forum was jumping from the ramp into the crowd where he did hit the guard rail badly (within wrestling that was the belief), and a springboard spot during the six-man tag match where he lost balance. Having had a similar injury, it is unfathomable if he broke it early that he could have even tried a springboard spot, except with wrestlers and adrenaline while in front of crowds, what is unfathomable most of the time actually does happen a lot.

If not MJF, then they need Danielson to turn on Mox and get the belt. He would be the best option until Punk comes back
