Here's the thing, for a long time WWE fans tended to be more on the same page because they're all WWE fans and have been forever. There's a handful that watch because they love wrestling and don't know how to find alternatives to the E to watch I'm sure, but most genuinely like the WWE product.

AEW comes out and says they're an alternative to WWE. And they are. They do lots of things differently, some better, some worse. However by saying they're an alternative they attract everyone who likes pro-wrestling that isn't a WWE fan, and that's a wide variety.

So then it falls into the please all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but not all of the people all of the time camp. And let’s face it, how many people go out of their way online to say something mildly positive. So unless AEW does something that earns raves negativity is going to carry through.

Its almost like a fanbase made up of millions of people may have different preferences and the same people that prefer more matches aren't the same people complaining when they do have more matches and vice versa. This is why it's ridiculous anytime a company over reacts to a vocal minority.

There is no pleasing an online community, especially a wrestling one. There's always something to nitpick and be upset about, if people want to be miserable while watching wrestling than more power to them. I'm just going to tune-in and watch a PPV that's been presented and have a s***-eating grin on my face the whole time because AEW style of wrestling just brings me joy and I don't have to be forced to watch another promotion just because I'm into wrestling.

I think part of the the bigger issue that's holding AEW down is that (as far as I can recall anyway) was that they had a revolving door of talent they could use to get hot while an established name or two took some time off to rest. But now a lot of that talent is being put onto Dark and Elevation, which definitely doesn't draw in the same amount of viewers as either Dynamite or Rampage. And then when they get a random Dynamite or Rampage appearance, especially against a champion, they're essentially pulled out of the freezer to try and thaw as fast as possible.

Though the lack of heat goes beyond the talent and to the stories as well. A lot of people have brought up fair points as to what's been lacking and I'd have to agree, especially the argument that there's just nothing really big going on. It feels like AEW's spinning its wheels in general and that's especially disappointing because they've got all the ingredients needed to cook up something new but they're content with just reheating the leftovers.

They need to wash their hands of Jarrett and that stable. Lethal is the only one with talent but he never seems to speak.

There are no stakes to Mox or BCC. Mox is on tv almost every week and his record is about as ridiculous as Jade's. He should have dropped his last 2 to Page. Yuta is the only one taking Ls.

I like Hayter but she's thrown into random matches with no story and now is saddled with this WWE vs homegrown thing.

They run the JAS vs whoever their feuding with in every single variation.

I don't care how good the Elite are in the ring. They bring nothing to the table in terms of story telling.

You can't find a way to get Miro, House of Black, Keith Lee, or Lucha Brothers on tv. And WTF is Scorpio Sky
